English: The Travellers Rest, Sheriff Hill, Gateshead in 2010. The name of this pub is thought to refer to its historical origins as a stopping place for horses after the steep climb up Sodhouse Bank on the Great North Road. The adjacent building, now a stonemasons, used to be a stable.
