Page 1 includes portrait of Liborius Hauptmann. Page 4 article "It's up to Labor" written in response to the Seattle General Strike which started February 6, 1919. Page 9 advertisement for the Curtis Studio "Invites you to visit the display rooms where a complete line of Curtis Indian Pictures, together with their latest studies in Portraiture awaits your inspection." Liborius Hauptmann was a Vienese-born and educated pianist and conductor who went on to a prominent career, mostly in Seattle and San Francisco. For a time he was based at radio station KYA in San Francisco, conducting the Pacific Salon Orchestra over the ABC Western Network. See especially [1] (PDF). |
