It was under these Rules, supple-mented by the ancient practice of the Court ofAdmiralty and by the decision of the Presidentin doubtful cases, that the procedure of theBritish Prize Courts was regulated during theGreat War. These Orders were varied incertain particulars from time to time duringthe war by Order in Council. By a Notificationof October 8, 1914, issued by the Colonial Office,the constitution of Prize Courts in theDominions oversea was announced.
