Description
English: The Summer House, Belvedere, Middle Campus, University of Cape Town, Rondebosch, Cape Town - The Summer House with the benches on either side, was built by the Dutch East India Company on the Rustenburg Estates. It is amongst the oldest existing buildings in South Africa. Built around 1760 by the Dutch East India Company and redesigned by Sir Herbert Baker in 1894. The Summer House lies on the main axis through the University of Cape Town at the top of Japonica Walk.
