The trackage of the Michigan Soo system is at present8j/2 miles, the most recent addition being the line of Al-gonquin, the busy suburb west of Sault Ste Marie, on the St.Marys River above the rapids. The service between thesepoints will be especially benefited by the new equipment. The electrical system on both the American and Cana-dian side is d. c. overhead trolley, with power furnished bythe Michigan Lake Superior Company to the Trans-St.Marys Traction Company, and by the Lake SuperiorPower Company to the International Transit Company,both subsidiary to the Lake Superior corporation.
