ns to the engines are provided with 632 STREET RAILWAY JOURNAL. (Vol. XXIX. No. 15. Stratton separators. All steam piping is covered withJohns-Manville magnesia. The boiler outfit consists of four 307-hp Franklin water-tube boilers for a working pressure of 160 lbs. Each boileris furnished with a Foster superheater capable of raisingthe temperature of the steam 100 degs. Behind the boilersa 600-hp Green fuel economizer of 320 pipes has been in- plan to a Goubert 300-hp primary feedwater heater. Thereis also a 250-hp feedwater heater of the same type to takecare of the auxiliaries. The horizontal circulating condes-ing pumps and the two duplex outside-packed plungerboiler feed pumps were furnished by the Deane SteamPump Company.
