Reference has previously been made in the columns of theStreet Railway Journal to the attractive features of thisbeautiful park, but this year extensive improvements have beenmade, as were found necessary owing to its increasing popu-larity as a summer resort and the resulting large crowds whichfrequented the place last summer. Norumbega Park has grown point of the Charles River; at this spot the river is very broad,resembling a lake. The park has an area of about 12 acres,and has a long water frontage on account of the winding pathof the river. The park land is undulating in character, beingheavily wooded and in many places still remains very wild.The park management operates many amusements and attrac-tions in connection with the park, including a theater and also.a zoological garden.
