Whether you call it the “1993 Superstorm,” the “Blizzard of ’93,” or the “Storm of the Century,” it was one of the largest and worst winter storms in U.S. history when it struck the eastern third of the nation 30 years ago.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: GOES-7 visible satellite image from March 14, 1993. In this image, the satellite is seeing the reflected sunlight off the snowfall that was dropped from the Deep South to New England. Also, “cloud streets” streaming off the Eastern Seaboard indicate the very cold air that poured in behind this massive storm.
