| Description |
한국어: 태조 왕건은 고려 건국 직후 나라의 복과 이익을 구하고자 전국에 많은 사찰을 창건하였다. 안양사도 그 중에 하나로 신라시대 창건된 증초사가 있던 자리에 세운 것으로 보인다. 당시 사찰의 면모를 새롭게 하면서 장엄한 7층 전탑을 건립하였다. 이 전탑은 고려 후기 최영 장군이 후원하여 대대적으로 보수했다는 기록을 비롯하여 『신증동국여지승람新增東國輿地勝覽』, 『여지도서輿地圖書』, 『대동금석서大東金石書』, 『범우고梵宇攷』, 『동문선東文選』 등 여러 문헌에 언급되어 전해왔따. 2008년부터 2011년 4차에 걸친 발굴로 인해 전탑의 부재인 벽돌이 발견되어 기록이 사실로 확인되었다. |
