In the version of this scene filmed for the American market, De Putti is not topless but instead wears revealing clothing, although even that scene was often cut by local American censor boards and may be missing from existing prints of this film. Beginning in the 1920s some American film studios made alternative versions of films intended to pass censorship or content standards of particular film markets.
