English: The Sisters' Cottage, Priestley Green, Hipperholme. Now hiding behind much vegetation. From a drawing I have seen there are long mullioned windows on the ground floor, one of eight lights. It was built in 1630 by Samuel Sunderland of Coley Hall. The trough in the foreground was at one time known as a 'Holy Well'. |
