English: The Shippon Grains Road Delph Situated in the heart of Saddleworth overlooking the picturesque village of Delph, 'The Shippon' at Lower Hill Top Farm, is a recently renovated 'cow shed' and 'milking parlour' dating back to the start of the 18th Century.
According to the beautifully carved stone lintel above the door, the Farm at Lower Hill Top dates back to around 1746. Originally built as an imposing family residence by the prominent local industrialists, the Lees family, the house and out-buildings were constructed to an exacting standard in both design and quality. The sympathetic restoration of the building in 2005 has created a unique 'bed and breakfast' accommodation of the highest standard, combining stylish modern facilities with many character features from the original building.
