English: The Shieling of the Slashing The ruin of Airidh na Sliseig, the shieling of the slashing, above the River Lussa. This is where the MacLeans of Duart massacred the protectors of Murdoch Gearr, Murdoch the short, the sole living heir to MacLaine of Lochbuie. To read more refer to chapter 29 of Thomas Hannans "The Beautiful Isle of Mull," and chapter 18 of Alasdair Alpin Macgregors "The Peat Fire Flame." |
