English: The Severn in flood Looking across the flooded River Severn towards Buildwas Abbey (just visible to the left of the stand of poplars in the trees on the far side of the valley) and Buildwas Power Station at left. Normally the river meanders its way along the valley floor at this point, but today the level has risen and it has spread out across the flood meadows. |
