HIGH-GRADE FARM SEEDS 41 Selected Farm Seeds. We make a specialty of growing field seeds, such as Corn, Oats, "Wheat, Potatoes, etc. Having been engaged in this business for the last thirty years, we claim to have some knowledge in this line of our trade. Our seed corn, oats and potatoes this year are unusually fine, and we can guarantee to give our customers the very best at reasonable prices. DR. WOODHULL CORN. First in Yield, First in Quality, First Premium at the World's Fair, Chicago, 1893. The Dr. Woodhull Corn originated in New Jersey, and has been grown by a few leading agriculturists in that State for a number of years. It is positively the largest-eared, heaviest-grained and the most productive corn in the world. This statement we made last year and year before on our own experience and responsibility. Some of our customers seem to doubt this, but hundreds of testi- monials and the final decision of the judges of awards at the World's Fair, 1893, have fully verified the claims we first made for the Dr. Woodhull Corn. The stalks grow strong and sturdy, take a strong hold in the ground, being well braced with numerous side roots, which enable them to withstand the most severe storms. The ears will average ten to four- teen inches in length, and are solidly packed with rich, golden-yellow grains, weighing sixty pounds to the bushel. It ripens as early as any of the Dent varieties, and never fails to make a good crop. Bushels of Shelled Corn to the Measured Acre. The Solehury Farmers' Club is considered one of the most progressive agricultural societies in Pennsylvania. At a meeting of said club, held a few years ago, it was resolved to offer a premium for the best acre of corn raised by ordinary cultivation by members of the club, or by any other person. The corn was to be husked and shelled, and ground correctly measured in the presence of a committee appointed by the club. The award was given to Dr. Isaiah Michener, whose acre yielded one hundred and eight bushels shelled corn. This was an excess of twenty bushels to the acre over several other popular varieties. (The va- riety of corn raised bv Dr. Michener was the Dr. Woodhull.) After being thoroughly convinced that the Dr. Woodhull was the hardiest, best and most prof- itable kind of field corn for general cultivation, we have been introducing it into almost every part of the country for the last two years, with the most grati- fying results. We offer the genuine Dr. Wood- hull at the following prices: By mail, large pkt., 10c; lb., 30c; 3 108

This is another immensely pro- ductive and large- eared variety of corn. A heavy cropper on rich soil, both in fod- der and grain. The ears have from sixteen to eighteen rows of grain, are twelve inches in length and well filled out. The grains are large, a deep golden color, rich and very attractive. By mail, pkt., 10c; lb., 30c; 3 lbs., 65c. By express, peck, 60c; bush., $1.75; 2 bush., $3.00. The Hickory King Corn. The Hickory King White Corn, in- troduced by us a few years ago, has given universal satisfaction Avhere the season is long enough for it to mature. It positively has the largest grain and smallest cob of any corn in the world. Plenty of ears could be found one grain of which would completely cover the end of the cob. The stalks are only medium in height, but well set with ears nine to ten inches in length. The grains are pure white and make excellent corn-bread. By mail, pkt., 10c; lb., 30c; 3 lbs., 65c. Bv express or freight, peck, 50c; % bush., $1.00; bush., $1.75; 2 bush., $3.00. CHESTER COUNTY MAMMOTH. This yields under good cultivation, from one hundred to one hundred and thirty bushels shelled corn per acre. The ears are very large, containing fourteen to thirty-two rows of medium-sized yellow grains. It furnishes a large amount of fodder, growing twelve to sixteen feet high. It is undoubtedly one of the best yellow varieties for good land in this latitude and the South, but cannot be relied upon to mature sufficiently early for the North. By mail, pkt., 10c; lb., 30c; 3 lbs., 65c By express or freight, peck, 50c; % bush., $1.00; bush., $1.75; 2 bush., $3.00. BLUNT'S PROLIFIC. Used principally for filling silos or fodder corn, as it will produce more fodder to a given area of ground than any other. Pkt., 10c; lb., 30c; 3 lbs., 65c; peck, 50c; bush., $1.60; 2 bush., $3.00.
