Description
English: The Round House, Barmouth This small lock-up was opened in 1834 in response to the concerns of townspeople regarding the level of "drunken riots" in the town, with nowhere to incarcerate offenders before being brought before the magistrates. It was used until 1861 when the police station was opened.
