| Description |
English: The River Sow west of The Aqueduct, Milford, Staffordshire. During the week before this, continuous and persistent rain sent the river right across the flood plain to the left. That land is still waterlogged and partially flooded. This picture was taken from Brindley's Aqueduct, which carries the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal across the river.
This image shows the scene a bit further west four days earlier, taken from about 200 metres further along the canal. 965347 Comparison of both images with the Google Maps satellite image in dry weather is fascinating. |
