| Description |
English: The River Devon In its infancy here, the River Devon, a tributary of the River Trent, runs in a little gully at the valley bottom. On the southern side there is a wide margin of land left fallow with mixed woodland of oak, ash and hawthorn along the foot of the slope. On the sunlit, northern side the pasture comes right down to the water. Through the trees you can just make out the broken ground marking the site of several springs feeding the river. |
