| Description |
English: The Raiders Road The Raiders Road is a 10 mile long scenic forest drive through Galloway Forest Park, between the A712 (below the Clatteringshaws Dam) to the A762 at Bennan near Mossdale. It is seasonal, and a £2 toll is payable but worth it. For some of the way the drive follows the Black Water of Dee. The route was popularised in the novel of cattle rustling entitled The Raiders, written in 1894 by S R Crocket. |
