| Description |
English: The Pied Bull in Northgate Street. The Pied Bull is an old coaching inn on the corner of King Street and Northgate Street. The inn extends over the footpath supported on four sandstone columns. Above the first column are some interesting old signs from a bygone age. The long narrow sign is:
'CYCLE STORAGE ->' where the arrow is represented by a hand, and there is also a triangular sign that reads: 'ROAD & PATH CYCLING ASSOCIATION'. The old painted sign for 'KING ST' is also visible. For a close up of the signs see 749424 |
