aute, Ind., have organized to raise theprices for soda drinks to a paying basis.They have bound themselves to observethe following schedule of prices : Plain soda, five cents. Ice cream soda, ten cents. Sundaes and similar dishes, ten cents All egg drinks, not less than ten cents. Lemonade, ten cents. The dealers have also agreed to usemeasures in the dispensation of ice creamto the thirsty, which will not exceed tenportions per quart for ice cream sodas.and not to exceed six portions per quartfor sundaes and like dishes. This agreement will take effect at the beginning ofthe soda season, about March 15. For some time the soda fountain menhave claimed that they were merely accomraodating the ice cream manufacturers indisposing of their product and the dealersnow intend to make a profit themselves. The new schedule is expected to worksatisfactorily without lessening the vol-ume of trade. The movement for moreprofitable prices is extending to other cen-tres in Indiana. May 4. 1905. ERA.
