| Description |
English: The Pentland Road Looking along the straight moorland road with peat cuttings on either side. The Pentland Road was originally the trackbed of a railway which was never completed. The idea was to land fish at Carloway and send the catch quickly across the island to Stornoway for onward shipment. |
