Today, withthe development of ski trails, widespreadadvertising and good transportation,many more people are taking up thesport for pleasure. Many people now plan to spend a partof their annual vacation during the win-ter and mountain hotels and farmhouses have been enlarged and re-modeled to take care of the increasingnumber of winter sportsmen. Severalresorts have ski-tows of various descrip-tion on nearby open slopes by usingwhich one can go up the hill quickly andtherefore enjoy more skiing in a shorttime without becoming tired from climb-ing. At present an aerial tramway isbeing built in New Hampshire on Can-non Mountain, the first in this countryfor transporting skiers. One of the most elaborate ski projectswas the development last year of SunValley Lodge at Ketchum, Idaho.
