ESPLANADE OF STATE, TEXAS CENTENNIAL rianned as a major spectacle of the exposition, the esplanade gave Mr. Cutler and his assistants a real chance to cut loose and demonstrate what can de done when lighting and architecture are combined in a preconceived plan. no more expense . . . new materials suchas glass brick and plastics . . . exteriorswith lighting for walls, bas-reliefs andmurals . . . These are the things to watchfor in expositions if you want to makeyour own business snap and cracklewith modernity.
