Seven miles north of the town, at thefoot of the mountains, are springs of clear,fresh water, from which water is conveyed forthe use of the railroad and rahabitants. Thereis a good deal of stock grazed in the vicinityof this station, which feed on sage brush iathe winter and such grass as they get, but findgood grazing in the summer. The surplus cattleare shipped to the markets on the Pacific Coast. In this region tourists will find much to pleasethem. Tourists will also bear in mind, that this isthe station nearest to the great Shoshone Falls.These falls are 110 miles from Kelton. Passen-gers from the east will arrive at about 10 oclockp. M., and stay all night. Passengers from thewest will arrive at about two oclock a. m. Thenext morning they will take the stagerun by the North-western Stage Company, 100miles to Rock Creek Station, which are madeover good roads in twelve hours. Here you willstay over night, and take a team the next morn-ing for the falls; distance ten miles over a lavaplain, with stinted sage brush. No sign of thegreat falls is seen, until you reach a point one milefrom them, when they suddenly burst upon theeye with a grandeur and magnificence trulybewildering.
