I recently had the privilege of hanging out with these two guys - the owl is a Great Horned Owl, and the cat is a member of Lynx Rufus generaly referred to as a Bob-cat because of his stubby tail. This particular one weighed about 30 lbs (15 kilo) and could never be mistaken as a domestic pussycat! But this unlikely pair did remind me of the famous poem by Edward Lear, published in 1871. For those unfamiliar with the work, I supply the words below in both English and Dutch.
