English: The Ormsby Centre, 59 East Street (B2187) Now a specialist private nursing home, the building was once known as Green Lady Hostel. It was purchased by Lily Montagu CBE (22 December 187322 January 1963) & Mrs Emmeline Pethick-Lawrence (18671954), an organizer with the Pankhursts of the English Suffrage Union, as a seaside holiday house for female factory workers. |
