Description The Opera House, the inauguration of the opera, Paris, France, on 5 January 1875. Photomechanical color print of a painting by Édouard Detaille. The original painting (c. 1878, gouache on paper, 66.5 x 50.7 cm) is located at the Versailles Museum [1].
