Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Old White Lion This pub provided stabling for mail coaches in the 1800's. It was also known as the 'Dirt House' at that time because it was a popular stop for farmers delivering hay to London and returning with manure and soot. With the growth of rail and road transport the pub, like many others, was rebuilt into its current form, probably in the 1950's.
