| Description |
English: The Old Dee Bridge and the view to Edgar's Field #2 The view from the northern end of the Old Dee Bridge towards Edgar's Field park in Handbridge. On the parapet of the bridge is a faded yellow 'H', dating to the time of the second world war, which normally indicates a fire hydrant. However, as there are no fire hydrants nearby, and the mark is directly above one of the arches through which the River Dee flows, I imagine the intention was for the firemen to draw water from the river if necessary. |
