Description
English: The old cemetery of Vágur in Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. The artist Ruth Smith from Vágur is buried here in this graveyard. There used to be a church here down by the sea on a place called á Kirkjukletti, but it was taken down and moved to Hov, when a new church was built in Vágur in 1939.
Føroyskt: Gamli Kirkjugarður í Vági. Kirkjan á Kirkjukletti stóð niðri við sjóvarmálan í hesum kirkjugarði, til hon var flutt til nýggja kirkjan var bygd í 1939, tá var tann á Kirkjukletti tikin niður og reist í Hovi, har hon enn stendur. Listakvinnan Ruth Smith liggur grivin í Gamla Kirkjugarði í Vági. Nýggi kirkjugarður sæst eisini á myndini, hann er hinumegin fjørðin.
Dansk: Gamle kirkegård i Vágur (Våg), Suderø (Suðuroy) på Færøerne. Kunstneren Ruth Smith ligger begravet i denne kirkegård. Den nyere kirkegård ses også på dette foto, den ligger på den anden side af fjorden.
