This bird always breeds more orless sparingly in the town, but in thelast three years, particularly in 1919,it has become so abundant as to beone of our most common breedingbirds. The same is also true of theJunco. This species was always anabundant breeder on the mountains orhigher hills, but it has gradually beenextending its breeding range to thelow lands as well. Another bird whoseabundance was a noticeable feature ofthe 1919 season, was the ChestnutvSided Warbler. In almost any suit-able locality at least one family ofthese birds could be found by meansof a little searching.
