Of all the birds that it has been mygood fortune to study here in Floridaduring the past eleven years, nonehave been so baffling and unsatisfac-tory from the point of view of theOologist as the Bald Eagle, Each year I promise myself that 1will waste no more time chasingaround after this bird, but every win-ter about November first I begin tolook over my climbing apparatus andwonder if this year wont be a betterone for me, and usually decide that itwill so by December 1st I am chasingaround every spare moment lookingup all the old sites and hunting fornew ones so that by the last of Janu-ary I have generally climbed into noless than 20 to 30 Eagle nests withthe results that I usually have a veryfew sets (if I am real lucky) and abunch of photographs that are general-ly unsatisfactory to me and
