NICHOLSON The sad news reaches us tliat Wil-liam Franklin Nicholson, aged 61years, 1 month and 22 days, passedaway at liis home near Toulon, in thisState, April 7th, 1922, ending a usefullife. Mr. Nicliolson was for years a person-al friend of the editor, and at one timeSuperintendent of tlie Public Schoolsin Lacon. He was one of the mostgenial, companionable men tliat wehave ever met. A careful observer,having good descriptive powers and anentertaining conversationalist, a loverof nature, science, and a true .Cliristiangentleman.
