Description
English: The New Graveyard, Heptonstall. This is in land given in 1911, enabling the churchyard, which is very full, to be closed to new burials in 1915. In this photo there is the grave of Sylvia Plath Hughes, the wife of the local poet Ted Hughes. She committed suicide at the age of 31.
