| Description |
English: The Neptune Fountain The fountain, currently drained for the winter, is in the Promenade in front of the Municipal Offices. It is fed from the River Chelt and since the river is culverted under much of Cheltenham it is the only place where its waters can be seen in the town centre. As explained by 288785 the fountain is modelled in the Trevi Fountain in Rome, but is purely for decoration and does not commemorate anyone or anything! |
