Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe National Railway Museum at Shildon - geograph.org.uk - 1128754.jpg |
English: The National Railway Museum at Shildon The stone building on the left, the old Goods Shed, is an educational feature of the Museum, and acts as a shelter/workshop for engine servicing. Close examination of the structure reveals blocks of stone which appear to have served as sleepers in the early days of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. The track beyond this siding connects Darlington and Bishop Auckland to the main-line network.
