Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe Midland Station, rail side, Evesham (geograph 6783208).jpg |
English: The Midland Station, rail side, Evesham The Midland station in Evesham was the most important south of Redditch on the rural line that ran from Barnt Green to Ashchurch - both being on the main Birmingham to Gloucester line. This view is of the main building on the up-side platform (for Redditch & Barnt Green). It was closed to all traffic in September 1963, together with the line south of Redditch. It was immediately alongside the GWR station on the line from Oxford to Worcester which remains open & part of which can be seen in the background. The Midland station buildings are still standing & can be seen in this 1993 view: SP0344 : Evesham: site of former Midland station, 1993. |
