For their decidedanodyne and anti-spasmodic qualities, they havebeen successfully employed in Typhus, Scorbutus,Gastralgia, Anaemia, Enteralgia, and to assistdigestion. COCA WINE is probably the most valuableTonic in the Materia Medica when properly prt-pared. With stimulating and anodyne proper-ties combined^ Metcalf s Coca Wine acts with-out deliberating, being always uniform andtherefore always reliable. For Athletes it is in-valuable in imparting energy and resistingfatigue ; Public Speakers and Singers find itindispensable as a Voice Tonic, because, beinga tensor of the vocal chords, it greatlystrengthens and increases the volume of thevoice; and to the elderly it is a dependableaphrodisiac, superior to any other drug.
