Description
English: Hampi was a prosperous, wealthy and grand city near the Tungabhadra River, with many temples, farms and trading markets, was the capital of the Vijayanagar Empire of the south Indian state Karnataka. It is the UNESCO world heritage site. This is an image of the Grand Entrance of the Vitthala temple which houses the famous stone Chariot.
