| Description |
English: The Mains, Torridon This is the HQ of the estate and home of the Ranger/Naturalist at Torridon. The estate has been run by the National Trust for Scotland since they acquired it in 1967. The Trust, and we, were extremely fortunate in having as the first Ranger Lea MacNally. An experienced stalker,authority on wildlife,prolific author and photographer. He, his writings and photographs have educated and inspired countless thousands, quite apart from his involvement in mountain rescue. Sadly he died in 1993 but his legacy continues. |
