Description
English: A historical place of interest in Jabalpur, Madan Mahal is located on top of a hill in Jabalpur, and was founded by Gond rulers. Dating back to 11th Century AD, the fort is a relic of the past, and is associated with the famous Gond Queen Rani Durgavati, and also her son Madan Singh. The fort is a small one, and is considered to be one of the finest ancient monuments of India, with interesting segments such as, stable, war rooms, small reservoir, and main pleasure chamber still existing for tourists to marvel at. It is located at a height of 500 m on a hill and once on the balcony on the top of the fort,people can see the picturesque site of greenery with hills and also a view of Jabalpur.

When I went to this place i was fumbling about how many steps we took (me and my family) to reach the top of the hill..but once i reached it and saw the view from top of the fort..I realized the effort was worth taking..and I also marveled how a fort is built on such a large rock...a picture of this rock is a beautiful memory for me...
