Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Logan Rock A logan rock or logan stone is one which can be rocked on its natural base and there are several of these in West Penwith but this is undoubtedly the most famous, to the extent that the headland on which it sits, Treryn Dinas, is often referred to as Logan Rock. In 1824 the rock was dislodged by Lieutenant Goldsmith and his band of men and such was the public outcry that he was forced to replace it at his own expense, a task which took at least 60 men almost seven months to complete. Details of this and the costs incurred can be seen in the Logan Rock Inn at Treen.
