Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Liverpool Underground For many years, Liverpool was the only English city besides London to have an Underground railway, by virtue of the historic Mersey Railway. Here we see a train at James Street station, about to head under the Mersey for Birkenhead and New Brighton. The Underground system at Liverpool has since been modernised.
