Nederlands: Bert Nijenhuis maker van beelden in brons maakt in het voorjaar 2006 dit beeld.
Het is een echt masker en een echte kroon. Alsof beide onderdelen daar zomaar liggen zitten ze vast aan elkaar, het lijkt alsof ze gevallen zijn . Nee,het is zorgvuldig neergelegd. Hij gaf het oorspronkelijk de titel "eerst valt het masker en dan valt de kroon". Het masker heeft te maken met geloofwaardigheid en de kroon met waardigheid. We mogen opmerken dat het vanwege de kroon een politiek beeld is,althans voor nijenhuis zijn doen. Er is weliswaar geen relatie met ons koningshuis. Wel is hij geïnspireerd door Blair en Bush; en het feit dat met Irak de wereld een oorlog ingelogen is. |
