Description
English: The Leigh-Pemberton House, Lincoln This building, at the corner of Castle Hill and Bailgate, is currently being used as a Tourist Information Office. It is a large timber framed merchant’s house of 1543, possibly the Ironmongers Arms in 1666 and extensively restored in the 20th century. It was also a bank between 1899 and 1979. Sir Robert Leigh-Pemberton was chairman of the NatWest Bank and Governor of the Bank of England from 1983 to 1993
