Description
English: The Lagan (railway) bridge, Belfast The present railway bridge across the Lagan dates from the rebuilding of the Belfast Central line in 1974/76. It replaced the old “Shaky Bridge” in use from 1884 to 1965 when the line was closed and severed to accommodate the widened Middlepath Street. The bridge carries trains to Londonderry, Larne and Bangor. The view is towards Central station.
