Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Lace Market from the Number 6 Bus The spire of High Pavement Chapel is on the left and the tower of St Mary's to the right. The tramway - following the line of the old Great Central Railway, but on a new viaduct - crosses the centre of the picture. The Edwalton bus is just turning right out of Collin Street and the single-decker left up Middle Hill. The greyish corrugated-looking rectangle on the extreme left, above the Citylink bus, is the Nottingham Contemporary art gallery, which opened with a flourish and a David Hockney exhibition two months after this picture was taken.
