The report contains a list of the labourorganizations in the province of Ontariosubordinated to national organizations. Astatement of advantages gained by labourorganizations without strikes in 1899-1900 ;an article on the shorter-working day se-cured by labour organizations in the UnitedStates and Canada, which is taken fromthe Ninth Biennial Report of the Bureauof Labour Statistics of Iowa ; a carefullyprepared article on free employment officesshowing the extent of their developmentin different countries and in the UnitedStates in particular, and also the natureand extent of the work they have beingdoing. Several pages are devoted to areview of recent legal decisions in Ontarioaffecting labour, which form a compilationof the legal decisions that appeared frommonth to month in the Labour Gazette.
