Roe and John Doe familieswho had refused to accept serviceof previous warrants. This peaceofficer is an ingenious man of firmpurpose, so he armed himself withthe John Doe warrants, found afriend who had a 2C AutographicKodak Jr. and returned to thetroublous scene. As ^Ir. Gibson placed a summonsin each persons pocket the manwith the Kodak snapped the shut-ter, then wrote it on the film atthe time. Later, on failure to keep thepeace, one of the )iersons thus sum-moned, was arrested. The .iudge ex-amined the dated photograph andon the strength of it fined the de-fendant and sentenced him to 10days confinement in jail for con-tempt of court. A local daily, in telling of the in-cident, said: The camera mansnapped each service and wrote onthe film the name of the party thusserved. 16 Columbus had a theory andwas called an idiot. Heproved his theory and he-came a hero. In salesman-ship, as in astronomy, thebest idea is worthless untilit is put to work. If it isnt an Eastmanit isnt a Kodak.

DECEMBER iq21 PUBLISHED BY CANADIAN KODAK CO., LIMITED TORONTO, CANADA Salesmanship is the art ofgetting people to buy whatthey want, even if they donHknow they want it. EA^EX paper and type and ink aresusceptible to the holiday spirit. They want to shake you by thehand and slap you on the back, andtell you, tace to face, what a great oldworld this is after all. Thats impos-sible, of course, but at least you canaccept Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as a personalgreeting from The Kodak Salesman, and though the spirits may have gone, the spirit hasnt. Heres how. ^Ae KODAK SALESMAN
